EXAMS!
Okay, so all CCA activities are stopped for now due to examinations. But no, that doesn't mean you stop practicing too. I should also remind you all that there is very little time left to the Taiwan trip.
Practice sensibly and don't spend like hours on your instrument. Remember what Mr Lim said about the schedule thing? Studies are just as important as your playing, so don't neglect it. Sec 2s want your favourite subjects next year hor?
Remember that those pieces we are playing are those pieces that MAJORITY of the band asked for. So Mr Lim will expect faster progress since we were so enthu about playing these pieces...
So here are some videos of the pieces we are playing...
Takarajima/宝岛
watch from around 3:40 for Takarajima
Seagate Overture
Second Suite in F - 1st movement
The rest of the movements can be found in the related videos part so I'm not going to place it here.
Listen when you stress ah. Do get the recordings from the band blog/google and dump it in your phone/ipod/itouch/whatever to listen to when you are free. Also study hard and don't get beyond the half way mark in your class in terms of class positioning!
Oh, something interesting I found on the web
A bassoon mouthpiece. That small one nearest to the ruler. So cool hor :O
edit: If the whole section achieves that class positioning thing and can play the pieces without breaking down during sectionals, each of you get a donut. I swear.
